I am grateful and honoured that the dissertation work undertaken with my colleague Alessia Tramontina has been awarded, as expression of passion and dedication that I feel towards architecture, innovation and research of sustainable solutions to preserve the built environment. I therefore thank the Foundation, in particular Daniela and Giannino, for the opportunity that has been given to me and that will surely permit me to nourish my interests and follow my dreams with the same courage and determination that distinguished Marco and Gloria in their carriers. I am proud to be part of this beautiful initiative, which contributes in a significant way towards the education of a young graduate, transforming a sad event in an unforgettable memory.

“The Knight and the Princess”, a fairy tale written by Daniela Burigotto (Marco’s mother) and illustrated by Roberta Gattel, is presented to enchanted nursery-
school children in San Stino di Livenza (Marco’s birthplace and site of his parental home – metropolitan city of Venice). The fairy tale is available both in Italian and English.

It was a true privilege to share a part of that beautiful, but sometimes incomprehensible fairy tale that is our life, which one day enabled us to meet by chance like all the most beautiful things. And it is thanks also to you Gloria, for having captured the heart of our friend with so much sweetness and tenacity, you were oxygen and light for him and permitted him to capture all of the beauty that life had to offer.

Giannino and Daniela take part in the Rai 2-TV-network live programme “I Fatti Vostri” (literally Your own Facts), where they present the new-born fairy tale as well as Grenfellove.

BBC broadcast a pre-recorded interview to Giannino and Daniela as well as to Roberta Gattel, the Fairy tale illustrator.

Giannino and Daniela attend the Municipal Council of Boys and Girls (aged 10 to 13) in their town, telling them about their experience as Marco’s parents, Grenfellove and the Fairy tale.
